When is the best time to visit Senja?
It depends on what you want to experience. The midnight sun lasts 21.05.2027 – 23.07.2027, and the aurora season 19.08.2026 – 24.04.2027. July has the most visitors, so book accommodation and a car early.
When does the Gryllefjord–Andenes summer ferry run?
Roughly from mid-May to mid-September. The dates can change from year to year, so check with the operator before you travel.
Is there a bus for tourists?
In summer the Arctic Route runs between Tromsø, Senja and Lofoten, and in winter Senja Direct runs from Tromsø. The links are next to each season.
